Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrive Leh (3505 m / 11,567 ft)

   Received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Complete rest to acclimatise. If suitable, visit the sunset at Shanti Stupa. Dinner and overnight in Leh.

2. Day 2

   Thiksey, Shey & 3 Idiots School Campus

   Visit Thiksey Monastery with its giant Maitreya statue, Shey Palace, and the famous 3 Idiots school campus. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

3. Day 3

   Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La

   Drive to Nubra via Khardung La (18,380 ft). Visit Deskit Monastery, Hundar village and enjoy a double-humped Bactrian camel safari on the sand dunes. Dinner and overnight.

4. Day 4

   Nubra – Turtuk Excursion – Nubra

   Day excursion to Turtuk, a Balti village opened to tourists only recently, with apricot orchards and views of the Karakoram Range. Dinner and overnight.

5. Day 5

   Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok

   Drive to Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok river route. Afternoon at leisure by the mesmerising blue lake. Dinner and overnight.

6. Day 6

   Pangong – Hanle via Chushul & Tsaga La

   Drive to Hanle through Chushul and Loma Bend. Visit the 17th-century Hanle Monastery in the serene Changthang region, renowned for its dark skies. Dinner and overnight.

7. Day 7

   Excursion to Umling La (19,300 ft)

   Adventurous drive to Umling La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, across the Kalatartar Plains. Visit the Indian Astronomical Observatory. Overnight in Hanle.

8. Day 8

   Hanle – Tsomoriri Lake (via Nyoma & Mahe)

   Drive to Korzok (Tsomoriri Lake, ~4,522 m) past nomadic Changpa settlements with Pashmina goats and yaks. Overnight at a camp by the lake.

9. Day 9

   Tsomoriri – Leh (via Sumdo & Chumathang)

   Return to Leh via Chumathang hot springs, Tsokar salt lake and Tanglang La Pass (17,585 ft). Evening free in Leh's markets. Dinner and overnight.

10. Day 10

    Leh Sightseeing — Sangam, Magnetic Hill, Alchi & Lamayuru

    Visit the Indus–Zanskar Sangam, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara, Magnetic Hill and the Hall of Fame museum. Dinner and overnight.

11. Day 11

    Departure

    Early morning transfer to Leh airport for your onward flight home. Return with cherished memories of a beautiful journey.
